HEALTH

As a qualified pharmacist, Nicole has a passion for health and preventative medicine. She uses her mobility and fitness to raise awareness for those without full health, by participating in mountain climbs, sporting events and outdoor adventures all over the world – with her intention to liberate courage in others to do the same. Her philanthropic efforts include being an executive board member and ambassador for Rare Diseases SA, and raising funds for them through her Uprising climbs. Nicole can be seen on eNCA hosting a health show called Brave Matters.

Conquered and Summited:

UPRISING

WHAT IS UPRISING?

Nicole, William and Sibusiso lead teams of climbers on epic transformational trekking journeys and rare adventures locally and internationally. They use the lessons learned on mountains to better equip people for “climbs” in their personal and professional lives and transform their lives. In doing so, they also raise funds and awareness for charities supporting children with Rare Diseases including CHOC and Rare Diseases South Africa. “We climb to honour the bravery of children with dread diseases and their families who face their daily challenges with a smile.”

They have been on many trekking adventures already, helping people realise their true potential. Internationally, they have conquered Everest Base Camp, Mont Blanc, Rwenzori, and Mount Kenya. Locally, they have tagged many peaks in South Africa including Rhino Peak, Mafadi, Cathedral Peak and most recently Kwaduma.

There are many future climbs in the pipeline including an all women Kilimanjaro climb on Women’s Day and smaller trekking journeys through the 9 Peaks in South Africa.
